Put 'First and Main' in the Suggestion Box

After you have written your actionable, balanced and clear issue, put it in the suggestion box. As other Kitchen Democracy members review your issue, many will offer confidential and anonymous suggestions for improvement - probably a gold mine of information. You may discover:

• there is solid support for - or opposition to - your issue,
• reasons for the support - or opposition,
• your issue is already in the works,
• your proposal is not feasible (e.g., conflicts with state law),
• your summary or question is being misinterpreted,
• a different, better, way of solving the problem (e.g., a traffic circle instead of a stop light)
• etc. etc.

Your community is a gold mine of information; the suggestion box gives you a chance to tap into their knowledge and forge a better issue.

At the end of the rating period, whether or not you are invited to open your issue for public comment, you have the option to incorporate this information into your issue and submit another version for the next rating period. You could even decide to drop it altogether. The choice is yours.
